Who should support learning in diverse educational contexts to the aggressive displays by Ms Trunchbull. Matilda by Roald Dalhl]

I have been taught as a student teacher that teachers must be caring, accountable, critically reflective educational practitioner who is able to support and nurture learning and development in diverse educational contexts. Roald Dahl's novel titled Matilda,we find a character by Ms trunchbell who is the scariest Headmistress we're ever likely to come across. She's certainly one of the most evil characters to walk through the pages of a Dahl book. She was a gigantic holy terror, a fierce tyrannical monster who frightened the life out of the pupils and teachers alike.

Teachers are considered to have relationships where they care the most about their students, whether they care equally for all students, and when they struggle to interact with a child do they care about the failure to try to understand what happened and to modify their approach. Ms. Trunchbull is an opposite because she is not a caring teacher at all, and she does not care about her relationship with her learners and colleagues. She mistreats everyone and does not want them to speak about their views, she does not approve of their opinions. She uses her position to abuse and control the school instead of school governance policies. In this life time school leaders posses high quality leading skills. They understand children and always have the children’s interest at heart. They use fairness and their natural love for their children but with Ms Trunchbull she does not have any leading qualities.

This head mistress is not competent, she has got no respect for her colleagues nor pupils. She has go no ethical values, her rules for the school are bad and have no signs of a great leader. she misuses her power, how can you lock a five year old in the chokey cupboard, made of cement with bits of broken glasses. It shows that she had set out to harm the little girl, be in that cupboard for the whole day standing and cannot lean against the wall because it contains broken glasses and sharp nails, it is unbearable.

The Trunchbull has no mercy and she is heartless, how can you throw a child of the window from the one floor up into the garden, and the child break bones then you do nothing about it and still promise others that they will follow. This was evident enough that Ms Trunchbell is bad news and she does not know how to be a great leader, she is bad at what she does and lastly she does not deserve to be a Head mistress because she does not understand how a real leader should behave nor lead.

Weblogs as an Emerging Genre in Higher Education

Weblogs as an Emerging Genre in Higher Education

A weblog, sometimes written as web log or Weblog, is a Web site that consists of a series of entries arranged in reverse chronological order, often updated on frequently with new information about particular topics. The information can be written by the site owner, gleaned from other Web sites or other sources, or contributed by users. In higher education weblogs are used for different purposes such as researches, assignment submissions and for the development of critical intellectual voice and they are also used to stimulate student interests in large notion of social constructive information. Blogs also serve as a platform where students can write about their experiences, thoughts, opinions and feelings. Weblogs also help students by improving their writing skills and also blogs allow social and psychological interactions between blogger.

I don't have much experience with blogging because I made my own blog for academic purposes. Though I have seen that people use blogs for different reasons. I have learned that blogs improve one's blogging skills and also their grammar and vocabulary becomes improved as they blog, I have also learned that blogs can be linked to other social media applications such as facebook, twitter and google + where people can share their blog posts for others to read and comment with constructive criticism and also giving others a platform to share their views on the chosen topic. Lastly I have learned that when one blog overtime their language becomes improved and precise.

The effective use of blogs can be improved in higher education by lecturers encouraging their students to create blogs and read other blogs which will help them by improving their blogging skills. Lecturers can allow students to come up with different topics which they think impact on their lives in a positive and also negative way and in that way students will share their views which will lead to very powerful debates as they will be tackling issues with one's own understanding. Lastly lecturers can open class blog pages for their students where they will be discussing topics in their modules and also giving students a platform to ask questions and get answers direct from their lecturers.

MY FINAL SCHOOL YEAR

My final school year at Phumzile FET school which is located in the Mpumalanga province. Phumzile is in a rural area called Vlaklaagte 1 in the Thembisile Hani local municipality. Vlaklaagte 1 has nine schools where four of them are primary schools, two being senior secondary schools and two being FETs. Vlaklaagte is a developed community because it has facilities which are very important like clinics, schools and their infrastructure as well. Vlaklaagte 1 is a rural settlement where there are all three life classes being the low-class, the middle class and the high-class. The sad part of it is that people who are regarded as the low-class are left aside and the members of this community do not help each other in fact they criticize each other.

Phumzile Fet is the best school in terms of results in the Tweefontein East Circuit where there are six FET schools. Phumzile has 17 teachers who all can teach and also offer different subjects. The head master of Phumzile FET is Mr D.B Kabini whom we as pupils loved because he always made us priority and he also sacrificed a lot for us. Mr Kabini is one the best accounting teachers and he was also known for producing good results. Phumzile offered three streams namely the sciences, commercials and the generals stream. I was doing the general stream which is English, isiNdebele, Mathematics, Life Orientation, Geography, Agricultural sciences and Tourism. My favorite subjects where Tourism and Agricultural sciences.

2013 Phumzile was visited by the MEC of Education in Mpumalanga. Phumzile being one of the best school received sponsors who donated computers for the pupils to use. The schools uses more technology during Agricultural sciences because we did a lot of researches and our Agricultural sciences teacher used a lot of technology so that made it more easier for us to use the school computer lab for our researches.
